We are accustomed to providing workshops to mixed age groups, from the very very young Tunes for 'Toddlers & Tiddlers' to school children, through to teenagers and young adults, as well as for the rest of us maturer folk, including the elderly in care homes!
"SINGING is everyones birthright and holds no age limit"!
However in some cases, depending on what your group would like to achieve, it may be better to split the group into two halves to accommodate for younger members (i.e children up to 8 years), who may have a shorter attention spans or difficulty in reading/following instructions) from the adults, if a mixed age group is participating. If the majority of the group is of a certain age then the workshop will be tailored with the groups age, mental and physical ability in mind.
First and foremost it is to have fun.
Whether you are a complete Beginner or a Professional vocalist who shares a common enjoyment of singing, you will be entertained, energised and emotionally uplifted by the time A BIG VOICE has finished your workshop.
You will learn a combination of basic vocal techniques and harmonies, explore your own voice through experimenting with our own unique vocal colour/timbres. From trying out some Tongue twisters to encourage your articulators to work harder to Tribal diaphragm exercises. Creating musical sculptures as a group and playing around with dynamics (volume). Call and respond games, silly-song rounds and even discovering different ways to use the rest of your body to produce a beat/pulse!! We may use Instruments/tap sticks to accompany our songs. These are just a few of the things we plan to do in the workshop whilst exploring a wide variety of music;
*World music, *Pop music, *gospel, *Musicals *Movies *Folk *R&B, *Motown and much much more...
In the time given, we will aim to cram in as much as possible and enjoy meeting like minded people for a workshop of SINGING related fun and SONG.
It will be a non judgemental space to explore and enjoy the freedom of singing and develop your own natural voice. I would like to ask of everyone that we respect each other and support each other so that it remains a non-judgemental, relaxed and friendly environment to sing and let down our barriers.
Please provide us with your full venue address & postcode when and where you'd like the workshop to take place, and your establishments postal address and contact details including name(s), email(s), Telephone number(s). A personal quote will be emailed to you on receipt. To CONTACT US:
