"Dynamic, entertaining and fun. A Big Voice ably combined a range of music and games at a good pace for the children. Nursery rhymes, disco and the party theme music were all worked into a hour of magic for the children. It was wonderful to see the children engaged and enjoying the fun, all with great encouragement from The Big Voice. If you’re looking for party entertainment, A Big Voice has the repertoire and energy to energise your special occasion. My children Jacob (4) and Naomi (3) were singing and dancing away this morning after yesterdays party to "I like to move it move it after your party game where this song was played..."! Belinda

Very well- run disco party for a large group of o6 year olds! Maria kept them all entertained, and the music, lights, bubble mashing were brilliant. Also the games played were fun and Maria kept all the kids involved. Very enthusiastic and cheery personality, great with kids. Birthday girls loved their party, thank you.

Maria and Kat were amazing! Maria entertained at my daughter's birthday last year and made such an impression that my daughter requested her again for this year. I hired Maria for the birthday party of my 3 year old daughter. Maria did an amazing job entertaining the children with songs, action games, dancing & magical stories with puppets and props. The children were very much involved and loved the vibrant colours, sound effects, disco lights and the puppets especially. As a parent I couldn't expect anything better to entertain such a demanding public and my daughter liked every single minute. Happy daughter, happy mum

After having been left in the lurch by another entertainer and only finding this out with three hours to spare(!) Maria completely rescued our four year olds party by jumping in her car and entertaining with relentless charm and energy for two long hours. Words cannot express how great a job Maria did, and how professional and helpful she was when rescuing us from a very stressful situation. We look forward to hiring her again but with a little more notice this time!

Children's Charity 'TOMMY' = raising awareness/research and support for those who have experienced a Miscarriage, Stillborn or Premature Babies.
"THANK YOU" from Diane Stenning- "Maria Scobey (Director/Founder of 'A Big Voice') provided the musical entertainment on stage at Tommy's Baby Race held at Waddesdon Manor on Saturday 7 July. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for giving up your Saturday morning to entertain at the Waddesdon Baby Race. Emma from 'Buggy Fit' said you were just amazing! Having entertainment at the event sis so important to us - it really helps give a great atmosphere and that helps raise more funds for Tommy's! Maria was a joy to deal with - she answered all my queries promptly and took time to liaise direct with the venue and PA and stage provider to ensure that she was properly prepared for the booking. She consulted me extensively on what kind of thing Tommy's wanted at the event, who would be there, what age group of children so she knew exactly how to tailor her programme to ensure everyone enjoyed the event. It was my sons 1st Birthday party a week ago and I hired Maria to entertain. She was fantastic!! She managed to engage 20 children of ages 1-7 with a variety of different songs and games, they were loving it!! Even parents got involved too. Maria clearly loves her work and is there to have fun too. She gave me and my partner good instructions as to when to bring in the cake and told us which songs parents could take part in, so that it all ran very smoothly. I did notice she stayed on longer than what I had hired her for, without making a rush to leave. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders when maria arrived, I would definitely hire her again!! the kids loved it!! And I heard that most slept very well that night after the party :) Kimberley Buckseall.

Brilliant she entertained at are preschool Easter party for 26 children, she came all singing and dancing , with plenty of puppets and props . They were all fascinated and considering it was ages between 1-4 she catered for all of them well .

She also has a very good voice that all guest really enjoyed listening too. My 7 year old Son and his friends loved the Disco and Party Games. Hi Maria, Thanks for providing great entertainment for Lucas' birthday party last week. The children all had an enjoyable time. We appreciate that you tried your best to squeeze the many songs and games we requested in the short timescale- also, thank you for playing 'that' song! Many of the parents who were there also commented on how well organised the party was and said the entertainment was really good fun. Lucas said it was the best party he had ever been to.

12*EVENT: LONG CRENDON, ONXON. Rosie Corbys' Twin 6 year olds party - October 2013
From start to finish, dealing with Maria was a pleasure. She was so professional prior to the party whilst we juggled dates to make things work and reassured me that she had prepared everything for a jungle themed party for nearly 40 children. She arrived bang on time and was ready to start as the first children arrived. From then until she left, she had them captivated, moving from song to activity to dance. Even though the group was large and included some children older and younger than the birthday girls, they all seemed to enjoy her performance and games, maybe the fun she was having rubbed off on them. My husband and I were able to relax and watch the kids having a great time. A few of the parents stayed and they all told me afterwards how brilliant they thought she was. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Thank you Maria x

11*EVENT: 4th Birthday-Octonauts Theme
We were delighted with our choice of Maria for my daughter's 4th birthday Octonauts party. I had seen the reviews on Netmums and decided that she sounded perfect for the job. The booking process was quick and simple. Maria made it all very easy, sending through the booking form etc.
We invited 28 children, and over 24 of them took part in the games and music. Maria dressed up as one of the characters and looked fantastic.
Maria was very entertaining and gave the party 110% at all times! In fact we had an incident where one of the children got his hand stuck in a door (he was there for over 15 minutes), Maria, instead of stopping the whole party, continued on so that the children didn't really see what was going on. We were delighted that she decided to carry on thought it must have been difficult for her. (with a screaming child on one side of her and parents running round trying to get something to free the child's hand).. I would absolutely recommend Maria for a party, and my friends were so impressed they were planning on booking her for future events.

We were very happy with Maria's choice of music, songs and games at our son Cooper's first birthday in Oxford. She was very friendly and accommodating from the onset and the whole process was pretty painless, from booking to choosing the songs and the different options she offers. Maria is obviously very experienced and her party tips and advice were also very helpful. All the children loved her and she even managed to get the adults involved at the end, dancing the hokey cokey! Cooper's birthday was an unforgettable and happy day for us, made extra special by having Maria in charge of the entertainment. We would definitely recommend her.

*9*EVENT: Childs Naming Ceremony (Celebrant & Entertainer)
Maria made our son's naming day celebration truly special. As our celebrant she led our naming ceremony with a perfect balance of authority and warmth. She maintained the formality of the occasion whilst injecting appropriate humour and making everyone feel included. After the ceremony Marie provided a lovely, interactive song and game session for the children. The children were spellbound and it was fantastic for our extended family and friends to be able to participate and watch as the children sang along and did the actions. Marie brought loads of bright and colourful props and toys which went down a storm. I was really impressed with Marie's attention to detail. She prepared meticulously and even checked pronunciations. She spotted a typo that I had made in the order of ceremony and made lots of really good suggestions about how we could ensure that everything would go in the best possible way. She arrived in plenty of time and set-up her equipment with no fuss. She brought everything with her so we knew it was all taken care of. I met Maria at Postnatal group and got to know her through attending her 'Tunes for Toddlers' Music group when my daughter was younger. With her 3rd birthday looming, knowing how much she loves singing, dancing and music in general, and reading that Maria now does parties I hired Maria for the party and was certainly not disappointed! The children loved it and were happily joining in the singing, dancing and party games (as were the adults!). Favourites were pass the parcel, musical statues and the parachute. I hired Maria for my daughters 3rd birthday party. I didn't expect the children to last more than 30 minutes (attention span, tiredness, boredom) but they all loved it so much Maria did us an extra half hour of singing and games!
They particularily loved the parachute, bubbles and musical instruments. Maria is such a bubbly smiley character that you can't help but have lots of fun and her charge rate is very good value so that made me smile too!
